Fixing Gmail Notification Problems on Samsung Devices

  1. Check for the in-app and system settings

  • Go to General settings and click on Manage Notifications.
  • Make sure all the options are enabled.

  • Finally, reboot your device.
  1. Check the system date and time.

  • Click on System and open Date and Time.
  • Enable “Use network-provided time” and “Use network-provided time zone.
  1. Granting mandatory Gmail permissions
  • Go to the Settings option on your mobile device.
  • Click on Apps and choose App manager, Manage apps, or all apps as per the device you are using.
  • Search and open Gmail.
  • Click on Permissions and then grant all the required permissions.
  • Finally, set Gmail as your default app by clicking on the three-dot menu and opening Default apps.
  1. Enable Synchronization
  • Go to the Settings option on your mobile device.
  • Click on Accounts & synchronize and enable Auto-sync data.
  • Click on Google.
  • Search Gmail and enable sync for Gmail.
  1. Clearing Gmail’s cache and data

  • Go to the Settings option on your mobile device.
  • Navigate to Apps.
